'Liquid Gold' Eighteenth century style corset
and matching skirt.

There are more ways to be inspired by eighteenth century style dress than the classic Marie Antoinette and "Dangerous Liaisons" routes. A 1780's corset, cut for the 21st century body (albeit "underwear as outerwear"!) is a style which sculpts the waist and cleavage.

Shown here, a fully boned, eighteenth century style corset in gold/black silk dupion with hand-stitched silk-bound tabs at the waist and matching organza tie-on sleeves.  Decorated with dark green velvet leaves and scattered beading.

Corset and tie-on sleeves (before decoration) - £750 plus fabric and chosen decoration. Skirts are designed to each individual order, varying from organza ballgown shapes to fitted fish-tails or matching silk dupion skirts. Priced from £600, depending on style and fabric.

Angela chose to emphasise the stomacher panel in a rich turquoise shade, which blended beautifully with the gold silk, highlighted with a black trim.
